They presented recognized musical authorities and integrated the residents. They contributed to the development of native artistic inventions. At the same time, cooperation between cultural and educational institutions was stimulated. Finally, they initiated regular cooperation with the National Music Forum.

GERMAN-POLISH YOUNG PHILHARMONIC Lower Silesia, Miłków Castle. German-Polish Young Philharmonic.
POLISH-GERMAN YOUNG PHILHARMONIC/ JUNGE DEUTSCH-POLNISCHE PHILHARMONIE 2017-2000
The international youth symphony orchestra initially arose from the cooperation between Lower Silesia and Lower Saxony. Three years later, music schools and universities from all over Poland joined the cooperation with Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. This is how the German-Polish Young Philharmonic Lower Silesia came into being.
I initiated the activities of the Young Philharmonic in cooperation with the “Pro Arte” foundation in 1999 and the “Artes” agency in 2011.
The orchestra is under the honorable patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, the President of Wroclaw, the Lord Mayor of Dresden, the Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, the General Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wroclaw, the General Consul of the Republic of Poland in Hamburg and the presidents and mayors of the cities of Poland and Germany hosting the orchestra.
The German-Polish Young Philharmonic brought together students from both countries. For many of them it was the first experience of international artistic collaboration with their peers from the neighboring country. The experience of the meeting in the Polish-German team deepened sensitivity, openness and mutual understanding.
The musicians of the German-Polish Young Philharmonic are currently playing in renowned Polish and foreign orchestras.
MUSIC KNOWS NO BORDERS and as a universal language for everyone, regardless of their country of origin, it breaks with clichés and creates understanding.
The orchestra took part in important events including:
• Opening of the German-Polish Year 2005/2006, Wroclaw.
• Unveiling of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe with the participation of the cantor of the New York synagogue on 5th Avenue Joseph Malovany, soloists of the Staatskapelle Berlin, the conductor Dan Ettinger and the choir of the White Stork Synagogue in Wrocław, Berlin ( 2005)
• Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin and Hamburg (2005)
• 800th anniversary of the Jewish community in Wrocław with the participation of Samuel Barzilai, the cantor of the synagogue in Vienna (2002)
• Angels of Europe on the occasion of Poland’s accession to the European Union, directed by Piotr Rubik (2004)
Currently, musicians – students of the GPYPh perform with renowned orchestras in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, England and the United States. They promote cross-border and European cooperation in their communities.
FESTIVAL OF YOUTH ORCHESTRAS AND CHOIRS YOUNG CLASSIC WRATISLAVIA (2011-2004)
Young Classic Wratislavia was founded to promote classical music, to encourage youth, chamber and symphony orchestras and big bands to concert performances, to improve virtuoso skills of young artists and to promote musical education. My goal is to make Wrocław and Lower Silesia a recognizable meeting place of tolerance and inspiration for young artists from all over the world.
The concerts took place in the Wrocław Maria Magdalena Cathedral and in Lower Silesian cities. The summer festival promoted the tradition and culture of Polish and world music. It allowed young musicians to explore their artistic abilities, developed international cultural cooperation between Wroclaw and Lower Silesia with Germany, the Czech Republic, Armenia, Austria, the Netherlands, Norway, Great Britain and the United States. The festival developed the habits of the local community’s participation in culture and its conscious reception and popularized music in Lower Silesia in Oleśnica, Jelenia Góra, Świdnica, Legnica, Wałbrzych and Kudowa Zdrój. In Wrocław, the European Capital of Culture 2016, he built up a tradition of artistic encounters, because „music knows no borders”. It was also one of the sources for the development of cultural tourism.
